[EMAIL REPOST] SA Comptroller’s Office

Hello,

I know there has been a lot of confusion and questions flying around campus in light of recent events. Here is the information I have from Student Association and my office:

Student Association is not closing; Michelle, Vince, and Kathy will continue work as usual. I am planning to continue my role as Comptroller on campus after the break.

President Jillian has stated that at this time, clubs will be allowed to continue to hold general body meetings as long as less than 50 people attend. Please keep the health and safety of others on campus in mind and do not plan to meet as a club if you are anticipating anywhere close to that number of people, nor if a club member has been in the vicinity of an area with confirmed cases of the virus. Clubs are asked not to hold events as it is difficult to control attendance. Clubs will not be held responsible for meeting their event quota this semester.

I am not planning on holding any more B&A meetings for the semester, which means request forms will have a limit of $250, but I am still processing request and requisition forms. I understand that students will be leaving campus, and will accept a request or requisition form with no signatures if both the treasurer and president (request form) or advisor (requisition form) email me with their approval. I have also attached a scanned copy of the requisition form and request forms, if no members are on campus to turn forms in.

My office will be going through all of the allocations and conference & convention releases to ensure that the money from cancelled events is transferred to the proper account, and we will reimburse students who deposited money into the account in anticipation of a cancelled event. The process is going to take a while, so please be patient.

For constituted clubs, my office is currently discussing how to handle this unprecedented situation. Please give us some time to sort everything out. Regarding constituted allocations, if your club can find a way to either pick up the purchase order as usual or find replacement similarly-priced items online, I ask that you do so to ensure that you receive the equipment before the semester ends.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. I hope everyone has a great Spring break.

Thank you,

Kelsey
