Instead of Steve Harvey, SUNY Fredonia’s WNYF-TV will be hosting this feud.

WNYF, the student-run television station on campus, presents various shows broadcasted on live TV and interactive events for students.

“Fredonia Feud” is their up and coming event. It will take place on Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the Williams Center multipurpose room.

“Fredonia Feud” will mirror the well-known TV game show “Family Feud,” in terms of teams going head to head and answering survey questions.

Instead of families, four campus clubs will be participating — The Student Association, Guriellas, Tri-Beta and the fourth organization will be announced at a later time.

Each team will have five contestants.

Patrick Ryan, a junior journalism and public relations major, is WNYF’s Public Relations Director and event organizer.

He said that WNYF had previously put on “Clash of the Clubs,” which was essentially a variety-style competition event that featured various clubs on campus and was broadcasted live.

“However, we decided it was time for something new. We want to ensure that WNYF is consistently presenting new and fresh content to our campus community,” he said.

It seems that students agree with and appreciate WNYF’s efforts.

Katie Hanover, a senior music industry major, will be participating in “Fredonia Feud” on the Student Association’s team. Hanover is the senior class president.

“I’m very excited for the event. I love ‘Family Feud,’ so I’m really excited to see how everything pans out on Wednesday when we’re all able to participate,” she said.
