[EMAIL REPOST] IMPORTANT NOTICE: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) | Residence Life information.

Dear residential students,

We hope that all of you are safe and well.  The Office of Residence Life acknowledges that, as the global concern about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues, Fredonia students and their families are affected in profound ways.  We appreciate in advance your cooperation with the instructions contained in this message, and we will support you however possible.

In response to the message from Governor Cuomo, Fredonia will be transitioning to online classes for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester.  This change is effective Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Important Residence Life Information:

1. All residence halls will be closed as of Thursday, March 19, 2020.

2. You will be expected to check out of your residence hall or townhouse by 4:00pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020.  In order to prevent the spread of the virus, you are prohibited from returning to the residence hall after this date.

  • Pack your personal belongings.  We advise you to either store or bring all of your possessions home, if possible.
  • Turn in your room and mailbox keys by placing them in the envelope provided in your residence hall mailbox.

3. If you are unable to check out of your residence hall or townhouse by Thursday, March 19, 2020, you must contact the Office of Residence Life (reslife@fredonia.edu | 716-673-3341) for alternate arrangements.

Information About Storage and Shipping Options:

1. The University Bookstore is ready to work with students to ship packages home.

2. Dan’s Moving and Storage:  This company can be called at 716-366-7642 for storage arrangements.

Additional information will be communicated to all members of the campus community as it becomes available.
