While students are in a race to register for courses and make sure they’re on track to graduate, the Registrar’s Office is busy at work serving students with those concerns.
Located on the first floor of Reed Library, the Registrar’s Office helps students both during the school year and the summer.
The Registrar’s Office offers a wide variety of resources, and is largely known as the place you can go to for assistance with all of your academic needs.
Everything from how to add, drop or withdraw from individual classes in a given semester, change your academic programs and apply for your degree can be assisted through the office.
Students can also get assistance with DegreeWorks, resetting their PIN for access to YourConnection and obtaining their academic transcript by utilizing the Registrar’s Office.
Near the office entrance, you can find paper forms of the topics listed above. Fill out the forms and submit it back to the Registrar’s Office during their hours of operation.
However, since COVID-19 the Registrar’s Office has adapted their processes to easily allow you to work through your needs via email. If you find you dont have the time to stop by, email them your requests and they’ll get back to you as soon as they can.
Andie Velez-Davis, a rising senior video production and journalism major, said that for major and minor needs, the Registrar is quick to help over email.
“They were fast and efficient when responding to requests that I put in,” said Velez-Davis.
Students can easily click the drop down links on their website, https://www.fredonia.edu/academics/registrar, to find email templates and links to specific academic departments’ contact list.
Or, if a student is looking for guidance on something other than a process that the Registrar’s Office handles, don’t be afraid to email or call them with your questions. The staff is always willing to point you in the right direction to wherever you need to go.
