At 3:20 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, students received an email from Finance and Administration that the campus Starbucks is closed until further notice.
The email is listed as being from Darin Schulz, the FSA executive director.
The email is as follows: “Starbucks is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice due to an infrastructure issue. Another message will be sent when we have more information on when Starbucks will reopen.
We apologize for any inconvenience and the short notice. Thank you for your understanding.”
Many students found themselves shocked when seeing the email.
“First Tim [Hortons], now Starbucks? This is really unfortunate for us,” said Alex Erwin, a double major in audio/radio production and video production.
The Leader reached out to Schulz via email for a statement at 3:32 p.m., and an update to the story will be provided when more information is available.
