These past two weeks saw Fredonia hockey continue a strong start to the season.

Alongside Blue Devils hockey, Fredonia’s men’s and women’s basketball programs seasons are now underway.

Both teams are winless so far in the season with both teams holding an 0-3 record as of Nov. 25.

The women fell to Penn State Behrend, Waynesburg and Nazareth.

The men suffered their losses to D’Youville, Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg.

The women’s team is playing their first season with their new coach Sarah Cartmill.

The men’s team is coming off of a season where they accumulated only two SUNYAC wins against Potsdam and Buff State.

Blue Devils hockey is now 6-1-0 after an upset win against Oswego as well as wins against Cortland and UMass Dartmouth. The hockey team has been off to a blazing start that sets them up for a good pick to make the SUNYAC playoffs this season, as well as making the championship game.

After last year’s championship loss to Geneseo, Fredonia will be looking to settle the score against the only team they’ve lost to this season.

This week will also see the first performances by the Fredonia men’s and women’s track and field teams as well as the Fredonia swimming and diving invitational, which is taking place this weekend.

The track and field teams will travel to Brockport on Friday for the Brockport Multi Invitational and the swimming and diving programs will host the invitational which runs from Thursday until Saturday.
