As of Monday, Nov. 4, the NHL 2019-20 season has been underway for just over a month now.

There have been a lot of unanticipated moments, high and low performances from just about every team.

The current top seeds and last overall in each division are as follows:

Atlantic Division:

Looking back at this past weekend over the course of 26 games, some players had standout moments.

Jakub Vrana scored his first NHL hat trick when the Capitals defeated the Flames with a final score of 4-2, marking the fourth straight win for Washington.

The Flames took an early lead in the first period, but their offense has struggled a bit this season.

However, they are tied with the Kings for 22nd, averaging 2.71 goals per game, right behind the Lighting.

The Flames should have taken the series with the Capitals, but are hoping to make up for it against the Coyotes and get back on their game.

They still hope to be the 50-win team that they were last season.

With a current record of 8-7-2 and 65 games left (35 home, 30 away) they could still manage to pull it off.

The Blackhawks’ win this weekend against the Ducks is due to Patrick Kane’s score just 24 seconds into overtime. They ended up winning 3-2, and it was a huge win thanks to the rightwinger.

Ryan Getzlaf had a lot to celebrate in this same game however, despite the Ducks loss.

He played his 1,000th NHL game, and all of those have been with the Ducks.

In addition, the Ducks captain also stretched his point streak to five games now, having scored four goals with two assists.

The Ducks coach, Dallas Eakins, was quoted saying to Getzlaf, “It has probably been a great privilege for everyone around here watching that young man grow up. To play 1,000 games in one jersey is a very hard thing to do, and we are all very, very proud of his accomplishment.”

Tonight’s two games are the Red Wings at Rangers (8:00 p.m.) and the Blues at Oilers (8:30 p.m.).
