Women receive short end of the stick at NCAA tournaments

By now, many people have heard of what’s happened at the NCAA March Madness tournament.

This isn’t in regard to the games, the upsets or anything like that. It’s about the differences that have been put in place for the men’s accommodations and the women’s.

What has happened is a travesty that seems to keep happening time and time again.

It all started with a viral video one of the athletes took from the women’s weight room in San Antonio.

I’m being quite generous by calling what the NCAA gave the women’s teams a weight room, as there was a small single rack of dumbbells that could handle five or six people at a time at most.

After seeing this, the NCAA did respond and try to make some changes, but it wasn’t just the weights. It’s the weights, the apparel they give, the food, the hotels and more.

If there was anything that they could have had differently, you could win money betting on the men having a better version of it.

This is a shame and should continue to be talked about, but at this point it almost doesn’t surprise us to see these differences when it comes to the NCAA.

It may be true that the men’s tournament makes more money than the women’s tournament and that most of the NCAA’s revenue comes from the men’s March Madness tournament.

However, the whole point of the NCAA and college sports in general is to use the revenue made from one sport and spread it throughout all of the schools other sports that may make less money or not make any money at all.

Why the NCAA thinks that they should operate any differently than how they make the schools operate their sports is anyone’s guess.
