SUNY Fredonia recently received some great news.

The university is remaining among the top colleges and universities across the Northeast for attributes such as quality, value and social mobility.

The U.S. News & World Report states that Fredonia has ranked 23rd for “Best University in the North.”

The college has held this title for the past 34 years.

Despite Fredonia’s small size, the university has also just moved up to the 69th spot for “Best Regional University.”

Fredonia also moved up to 55th for “Best Value Universities in the North.” Among the other SUNY schools listed, Fredonia ranked as one of the highest.

The curriculum of the university itself has also ranked well.

Undergraduate psychology, business and computer science programs have all received special recognition.

The social mobility category was designed to measure the amount of student graduates that entered college with a low-income socioeconomic status. The university’s dedication to ensuring the success of all students has earned it the 47th spot in “Top Performers on Social Mobility.” This ranking is 21 spots higher than in previous years.
