On Feb. 27, The Leader and the Fredonia Honors Program collaborated to host a presentation by Alyssa Bump titled, “Cultivating Community: Reflections on Leadership and Community” in The Leader Office.

Bump, a senior journalism and public relations double major with a minor in English, is the recipient of the 2023 Lanford Presidential Prize from the Oscar and Esther Lanford Endowment of the Fredonia College Foundation.

As an Honors student and previous Editor in Chief of The Leader, Bump is an example of a student leader on campus. Her talk discussed ways students can take action and make a difference in the campus community by establishing core values.
