Ladies, gentlemen and non-binary friends, we have a special surprise for you!
I, Megan Kidby, sat down with our wonderful bachelor Jace Jacobs and asked him a couple questions about love, family, challenges and other things that made him the man he is today.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. What makes you unique and stand out from other people?
Jace: Ummmmm I don’t know, I don’t know…I’m a homebody but I don’t hate going out and I love taking long walks around my apartment.
What are you looking for in a long-term relationship?
Jace: I’m just looking for someone that will support me…someone who is willing to get to know me whether it’s friendship, romantic or whatever and is looking for a deeper connection.
Can you share a romantic gesture you’ve done for someone in the past?
Jace: So, my sophomore year I was kind of seeing this guy and he would watch “The Bachelor” with me every week. He never had a real Valentine’s Day surprise and so I did a “The Bachelor”-ish themed scavenger hunt around our suite. I left a trail of candy and I got him a stuffed animal that was in the closet at the end of our hall. The second part led into our bathroom and it had some stuff he had left in my room on top of the sink. It trailed back out with candy and flower petals made out of muffin tins. I made fake flowers out of little wooden dowels I painted green and muffin tins and I put little Ferrero Rochers in the center and Ghirardelli squares. The end of the scavenger hunt led to that bouquet in an actual vase in my room.
Are there any qualities or behaviors that you consider to be deal-breakers in a relationship?
Jace: Someone who hates animals…do not talk to me. People who don’t like music.
My biggest pet peeve is people who sing along to music without knowing it. Like I do that sometimes, but as soon as I catch myself I stop.
What are your favorite hobbies or activities and how do you see them fitting into a relationship?
Jace: I love to bake. I like baking for people. I make really good vegan lemon squares. I also like to craft. I like to paint. I like doing little DIY projects around my apartment, and I like anybody who is willing to encourage me and not necessarily critique me if I do something wrong. You can have an opinion just don’t be a dick.
Do you enjoy traveling? What is your dream destination for a romantic getaway?
Jace: I do enjoy traveling. Long-term, I’ve always wanted to go to Italy and I want to visit the town where my family immigrated from. That’s a big thing for me. Short-term…take me to Niagara Falls. I love Niagara Falls.
In what ways do you actively work on self-improvement and personal growth?
