Spectrum Entertainment Board’s semesterly event, Activities Night, previously scheduled for this past Wednesday, has been rescheduled.
The showcase of Fredonia student clubs and groups was postponed after classes and campus activities were cancelled because of harsh winter weather.
Activities Night has been rescheduled to this Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Williams Center.
According to Spectrum president, Molly Gibbs, Activities Night was cancelled by campus officials along with all other events on Wednesday.
“We stand by their decision,” said Gibbs, “It was dangerous to have our volunteers outside unloading 160 tables into Steele Hall, so rescheduling was definitely the best option.”
As for the reason for the change of location from Steele Hall to the Williams Center, Gibbs said, “Steele isn’t available for us to rent any time soon and Activities Night needs to be held as soon as possible.”
Gibbs said they will fit all the club tables in the Multi-purpose Room as well as around the upper and lower floors of the Williams Center, a similar layout to the table setup during the Mini Maker Faire.
“Our annual events chairs and the rest of the eboard have been working hard to cater to everyone’s requests and we apologize for any confusion,” said Gibbs.
“This isn’t the ideal location but we are going to make the best of it and it will still be an awesome time,” she said.
Gibbs said if anyone has any questions or requests regarding Activities Night, they can email her at gibb5426@fredonia.edu.
