Are you trying to find an extracurricular activity to help give you a break from classes and homework?

Whether you’re a new student or a returning one, here are some clubs for you to consider joining.

According to SUNY Fredonia’s website, there are over 120 student-led clubs on campus. The school has clubs ranging from intramural sports to gardening.

For sports lovers, the school has a wide variety for you to take part in. Fredonia has all of the classics like ice hockey, soccer, field hockey and so much more.

The school even has some sports that not many others have to offer, like karate.

Fredonia also has clubs for you to join to help further your career, including science, math and psychology clubs, among others.

For all of my art lovers, this school has more than you could ever imagine, whether it’s for drawing, singing or performing.

For example, the school has its very own student performing arts club, which is also known as PAC.

Each club for the arts has multiple opportunities to showcase the work students have created throughout the year.

Fredonia also has a Greek life scene for fraternities and sororities, with three of each.

Fraternities include Delta Chi, Kappa Sigma and Sigma Phi Epsilon, while sororities include Delta Phi Epsilon, Sigma Gamma Phi and Sigma Kappa.

If you’re interested in rushing one of the Greek life organizations, be sure to check out their social media accounts to see when all their rush events will be held.

Students will have multiple opportunities to rush during the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

This is only a small fragment of everything that Fredonia has to offer. For more information, you can go to the clubs and organizations page on the school’s website.

However, if you want to try and see each club in person, try going to Activities Night at the beginning of each semester.

Here you can meet some members of each club, learn more about the club and students’ experiences, and get to see some of the activities they do in person.

According to the school’s event calendar, Activities Night will be happening at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Dods Grove.

After all, college isn’t just about schoolwork. It’s also about finding your niche, and clubs can be a way for students to connect and establish relationships.
