Everyone loves a good rumor, right? Well, wrong.

Rumor had it that the hit AMC drama “Breaking Bad” was going to start back up with a sixth and final season. I clicked so many links to different websites, like Empire News, (which sounds legit, right?) and was definitely convinced for a while. I mean, even Vince Gilligan, the creator of the show, said in the “interview” that “it’s true; we did decide to come back for another round with Walt … He hasn’t died just yet.”

The article also stated that the sixth and final season would begin shooting in December — now wouldn’t that be a Christmas miracle? Sadly, but surely, the rumor was squashed by Aaron Paul himself (who played Jesse Pinkman in the show), tweeting about it. First, he said, “This link really made me laugh. And also made me think that I had some work to do. Breaking Bad season six everyone. [link to Empire News].” He then tweeted, “It’s not happening friends.” My heart is broken for sure, but I will forever be a “Breaking Bad” fan.

But, hey, cheer up! You’ll be happy to know that what isn’t a rumor is that there will be a spin-off show called “Better Call Saul,” which will focus on the criminal lawyer himself, Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk), and will be set in the time leading up to establishing his strip-mall law office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

So, not to start another rumor, but word on the street is that there could possibly be some guest appearances from the chemistry teacher/meth cook himself, Walter White, Jesse Pinkman and maybe even Hank the DEA agent – who knows! “Better Call Saul” is said to premiere in February of 2015, so instead of having a countdown to Christmas, let’s have a countdown to the premiere!
