Reading Time: 2 minutesRecently, there have been a lot of questions regarding one of The Leader’s advertisements. The University at Buffalo ad first appeared in Issue 11 and has been printed in subsequent issues, including this one. While the Editorial Board wishes the representative at UB had phrased the ad differently, The Leader......

Reading Time: 2 minutesLife is short. Life is long. This might sound contradicting, but it is true. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time drags when you’re bored. This ideology made me realize that I either go for things in life or let the opportunity pass. Last J-Term, I had the chance to......

Reading Time: 4 minutesWhy am I talking about an album that came out in January, in November? Because I’m still listening to it on repeat. “Heard It In a Past Life” by Maggie Rogers is the soundtrack of my year. It feels like Rogers took my heart out of my chest and gave......

Reading Time: 3 minutesWith the Democratic presidential campaigns in full swing, it’s a good time to talk about how not to fall for thinly-veiled appeals and arguments you might hear in debates and interviews with candidates. A 2017 Gallup poll found that 78% of Americans identify with a specific religion. Religious freedom is......

Reading Time: 2 minutesAs a college student, the better you are at multitasking, the easier things will be for you. I have gotten to be pretty good at multitasking because of a tragic event that I have been dealing with for a while. For six years now, my mom has been struggling with......

Reading Time: 2 minutesLately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the idea of moments in life that are fleeting. Moments that you cherish when you’re in them, but feel a pit in your stomach the minute you realize you’ll never have them back. For example, a few weeks ago I took a walk......

Reading Time: 3 minutesThe first week of school is hectic and stressful. You arrive on campus and immediately take a sniff of the dog food air, and remember that you most likely have to eat at the Cranston again. For your average performance major, they refer to this week as “audition week” due......
